What is ‘The Real Housewives’ crossover series?

Earlier this year, there were rumblings that there would be a The Real Housewives: All-Stars show in the works. It turned out to be true, but the show wouldn’t be on Bravo, it would be on the Peacock streaming platform. The show had been in the works before the pandemic hit but it was pushed back.

“Some women were contacted in late 2019/early 2020 to test the temperature on the idea, which would see cast members — potentially both past and present — from various cities take a trip together,” 

Kristen Wiig is a die-hard fan of Bravo and The Real Housewives franchise. The comedian has been on Watch What Happens Live multiple times showcasing her wealth of knowledge on the hit shows. As many of you know, Peacock is preparing a crossover series that will have housewives from across the franchises come together for a vacation getaway. Wiig recently found out about the development and her reaction was so relatable.

The cast was finally confirmed by Bravo’s official social media accounts and the personalities tapped for the show were a dream come true.

From The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore would embark on the journey together. Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga from The Real Housewives of New Jersey took on the challenge to meet their counterparts. From The Real Housewives of New York City, it was Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps who got enlisted for the show. Lastly, Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills also took up the task for the epic special.

Kristen Wiig reacts to ‘The Real Housewives: All-Stars’

Wiig has been a huge fan of shows on Bravo and The Real Housewives. On Saturday Night Live she starred in one of the most memorable sketches where the cast took a jab at the reality series but as Disney princesses. The Wonder Woman 1984 star occasionally drops in on Case Wilson’s podcast (B*tch Sesh) to dissect the housewives’ shows.

In a recent Zoom exchange, Wiig and Wilson were talking Bravo and the latter was about to spill some tea regarding the All-Stars show.
