San Francisco man accused of shooting into East Bay residence

BRENTWOOD — A San Francisco man is suspected of shooting into a home and has been charged with several crimes, authorities said.

Detectives arrested the man Saturday when he arrived at San Francisco International Airport after returning from a trip, police said. No one was home when the man allegedly shot into the residence on Jan. 6, authorities said. The resident returned to find broken glass and bullet holes inside.

Authorities charged the man with shooting into an inhabited dwelling; possessing a firearm despite previously having a conviction for a violent crime; two counts of making criminal threats; one count of injuring a person with whom the suspect had at least a prior dating relationship; and vandalism under $400, according to documents obtained from the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office.

The suspect had a prior relationship with the resident and is accused of injuring that person in an unspecified way on Dec. 16, authorities said. The criminal threats were in relation to incidents that happened on Dec. 5 and Dec. 26, authorities said.
