Coronavirus: G-Eazy sponsors food truck to provide meals to at-risk youth

G-Eazy is giving back to the local community during this time of crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Bay Area hip-hop star is helping to provide meals to at-risk youth living in San Francisco for an entire month, through a partnership between G-Eazy’s own Endless Summer Fun and the Larkin Street Youth Services.

“The Bay is my home and I want to help and support my community however I can, which is why I am partnering with Larkin Street Youth Services to provide meals to kids during this crisis,” G-Eazy says in a news release. “We are all in this together and I hope others will join me in supporting our communities however they can.”

G-Eazy is sponsoring a local food truck win order to feed community members who cannot easily access meals from the Larkin Street Youth Services drop-in sites.

“The food truck will provide lunch seven days a week for the next month, the duration of the shelter-in-place order. The funds are provided by G-Eazy’s charitable initiative, Endless Summer Fund, a longtime partner of Larkin Street Youth Services, a nonprofit working to end youth homelessness,” the news release states.

It’s the Mi Morena food truck and the food is prepared out of the nonprofit organization La Cocina, which works to promote equity in business ownership for women, immigrants and people of color. La Cocina supplies a full equipped commercial kitchen for the food truck to use.

Great news. @istillbelieve, starring @CW_Riverdale’s @kj_apa as @jeremycamp, comes to “on demand” March 27. Recommended viewing, while sheltering at place. But, first, read my preview piece. https://t.co/tHgsgSw04E

Is it a good “bet” that @taylorswift13 postpones tour? https://t.co/W0bkdvs3dt
