The remains police uncovered in Kentucky on Wednesday, July 10 have been identified as missing mother Savannah Spurlock, RadarOnline.com has learned.
The missing mom was last seen in January leaving a bar with three men. As her body was examined by the medical examiner’s office on July 11, police confirmed that a 23-year-old man named David Sparks has been charged with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

“As a result of the autopsy, KSP can confirm that the remains are those of Savannah Spurlock, who went missing on January 5th after leaving a Lexington bar with three individuals,” Kentucky State Police confirmed on Twitter.
Authorities also confirmed that Sparks was one of the three men last seen with Spurlock. All three men were “identified and interviewed,” the agency’s Twitter confirmed.

Sparks remains in the Madison County Detention Center. On July 11, Radar exclusively spoke with Spurlock’s grandfather, William Thoma, hours before the autopsy results came in. The grandfather revealed that the family has been in need of closure.
“It’s been tough not knowing if she’s still alive,” Thoma said. “Closure will come. We’ve prayed about the closure and the Lord knows that. He’ll give it to us because we prayed about it.”
Spurlock was a mother of four young sons. She gave birth to twins just one month prior to her disappearance.
