County Denied ICE Detainer Request Before Illegal Immigrant Allegedly Killed Woman

Santa Clara County officials denied the detainer request for the illegal alien suspected of brutally murdering Bambi Larson, 59, in her home in San Jose in February, according to deportation documents “The Ingraham Angle” exclusively obtained and unveiled on Thursday night.

Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza, 24, has been charged with first degree murder for allegedly stalking and stabbing Larson on February 28. He is being held in custody without bond ahead of his May 17 hearing.

But the San Jose police revealed on Tuesday that Arevalo Carranza, a gang member, had been arrested multiple times prior to the murder. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had an active detainer request for him.

Yet county officials insisted their sanctuary policies were not at fault for the illegal immigrant’s repeated releases.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham revealed on Thursday night that she had obtained Arevalo Carranza’s deportation documents.

“Earlier today, ‘The Ingraham Angle’ was contacted by an anonymous source with knowledge of the case. This person obtained what they said was the copy of the DHS [Department of Homeland Security] immigration detainer notice of the action dated October 9, 2018, for Carranza,” Ingraham said.

“And after we got our hands on this document, we verified its authenticity directly with DHS officials,” the Fox News host added.

The documents showed county officials had placed a “Not Honored Per County Policy” stamp on the detainer request.

This indicated “that it was the sanctuary city status that was directly at fault for this crime and for the man being on the loose,” Ingraham said. “Obviously he wouldn’t have been here to commit the crime if he had been detained by ICE and deported out of the country.”

To make matters even worse, the DHS confirmed with “The Ingraham Angle” that “the suspect’s not only in the country illegally, but had left and then reentered after he claimed asylum and passed that initial credible fear screening in an interview with border officials,” Ingraham said.

Ingraham noted her show learned of this “shocking” new information “just hours after a bipartisan majority in Congress
