Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown‘s famous family is concerned about his battle to stay sober after he scored a big show pay day, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Just one month after leaving his third rehab stint at the Betty Ford Clinic in Palm Springs, California, a source has told Radar that “Matt is causing reason for worry again because he just got heavily paid!”

According to the insider, Matt, 36, whose battle with addiction was showcased on season 8 of Alaskan Bush People, received about $250,000 after agreeing to let cameras follow his journey for the upcoming season 9.

“He finally got the money that was being withheld from him by his parents while he got his act together,” a source said.

“It’s really a double-edged sword because whenever Matt gets paid, he goes missing and everyone just assumes he is using again.”

“It is at the point where no one really knows if he wants to be sober or not,” the source told Radar.

For his parents Billy, 65, and Ami Brown, 54 — who are basking in baby joy right now over their son Noah and wife Rhain‘s newborn baby, Elijah Connor Brown — “it is really just more about wanting Matt to be okay.”

“The problem is that Matt will really tell you whatever it is you want to hear. He is not known for being honest about his sobriety.”
