‘Top-tier’ performers set to open up Warriors’ new Chase Center

The Golden State Warriors are set to announce the first batch of concerts for the new Chase Center on Monday.

And, organizers say, expect to see some big names on the list.

The announcement comes Monday (March 18) during a press conference at the venue as part of what the team is “Reveal Week.”

“We have locked down a great initial group of announcements of top-tier performers to open the first couple months of Chase Center that will cater to a variety of audiences,” said Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. “The Reveal Week line-up is just the beginning of the must-see acts we’ll look to open Chase Center as we will continue to add a variety and diversity of events to our calendar for the remainder of 2019 and into 2020.”

The plan is to announce eight events/shows during Reveal Week, which runs March 18-22.

It will begin at 11 a.m. March 18 at the press conference, which will be be livestreamed at chasecenter.com and broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area. In attendance will be Welts and Warriors owner Joe Lacob — as well as the “performers from the first show being announced at Chase Center,” according to a news release.

Show announcements will also be made on the venue’s website at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 19; 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 20; and 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 21.

The final Reveal Week announcement takes place at a press conference at Chase Center at 4 p.m. March 22. Members from the final act to be announced will be in attendance. That press conference will also be livestreamed at chasecenter.com and broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area.
