Former airline pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger has sold his Danville, Calif. home for $1.652 million.

The 3,409 square foot property has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It features ample, modern interiors, a pool and an outdoor kitchen among many other amenities.

Sully and his family resided in this home when he captured the world’s attention by safely landing a U.S. Airways jet on the Hudson River in New York after a bird strike disabled the engines. A celebrated hero, Sully saved the lives of all 155 passengers aboard. Related Articles
