Thomas the Tank Engine brings Big Adventure Tour 2018 to Squamish

All aboard, little engineers! Thomas the Tank Engine is bringing his Big Adventure Tour to Squamish next month.

The family friendly event will pull into Squamish’s West Coast Railway on May 19 to 21 and again the following weekend on May 26 and 27.

Kids and families can climb aboard Thomas for a 20-minute train ride and even meet Sir Topham Hatt, controller of the railway.

Countless kid-friendly activities will be available including a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station, a Passport to Adventure booklet that will help kids navigate the event, craft activities, photo opportunities, story telling, live music, a bouncy castle and mini golf.

The Big Adventure Tour, now in its 23rd year, includes 42 stops across the U.S. and Canada and is expected to welcome nearly one million passengers this year.

Tickets for the event are $25 or $29 per person, plus taxes, based on chosen train ride departure time. Departures are available at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 am., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
