Grubhub just released the list of Denver’s most popular orders, and they’re pretty weird

Grubhub, the food delivery platform that picks up and drops off from more than 900 Denver area restaurants, analyzed our orders thus far in the year to answer the very important question: What do Denverites eat more than the rest of the country?

Answer: Tonkotsu ramen was Grubhub’s most-ordered item in Denver as compared to orders around the rest of the country.

I guess this makes sense, as nothing cuts our cold better than a creamy, porky bowl of long-simmered marrow bones topped with a halo of noodles.

Other popular dishes in Denver relative to the outside world include chicken shawarma sandwiches, Italian sandwiches, butter naan and mushroom cheesesteaks.

Nationwide, the most popular dish in 2017 compared to order data from 2015 and 2016 was poke, with a 643 percent increase in popularity over previous years.

Soft pretzels and avocado toast (221 percent and 212 percent increase over previous years, respectively) were also, inexplicably, popular.
