Downtown Berkeley Pet Parade: Pets of all ages, shapes and sizes are invited to show off their best Halloween costumes in the first Downtown Berkeley Pet Parade. Awards for best dressed pet, best dressed pet and owner, best pet group combo. Each pet must be leashed, crated or appropriately restrained at all times. Noon-1:30 p.m. Oct. 15. Doggone Fun Fest: Dress in your favorite Halloween costume (dogs and humans) and join your favorite canine for a parade around Orinda Community Center Park. Shred Day: Bring your old papers to ARF to be securely shredded for $5. Paper shredding only, no oversized boxes.
