“Luxurious Summer” low rider show coming to Antioch Fairgrounds

ANTIOCH — The 3rd Annual Luxurious Summer Car Show is coming to the Antioch Fairgrounds on Saturday with live performances, low rider club competitions and tug-of-war to benefit the Antioch Lions Club.

The event will have over 150 awards and low rider clubs will compete in car club tug-of-war, a pie-eating contest and a jalapeno eating contest. Clubs will also compete for four coveted championship belts in the categories of Most Members, Best Old School, Best New School and Best Truck.

There will be performances by Rodney-O and Joe Cooley with special guest Danny De La Paz. Music will be by Leslie Perez and Big Happy.

Admission will cost $10 for adults and kids 12 and under will get in free. Registration for vehicles will be $25 and $15 for bicycles. The Antioch Lions Club will be selling beer to raise funds to provide eyeglasses for kids in need.

The event will be held at the Antioch Fairgrounds at 1201 West 10th Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
