TV tonight: ‘The Bachelorette’ does her hometown visits

“The Bachelorette” (8 p.m., ABC): It’s finally here — the hometown visits episode. On Rachel’s agenda — the four hometowns of Eric (Baltimore), Bryan (Miami), Peter (Madison, Wisconsin) and Dean (Aspen, Colorado). The latter visit is hampered by the fact that Dean and his father have been estranged for years. Over the course of the visits, Rachel’s spirit and resilience is severely tested by the men and their loved ones, as she tries to figure out how and why she is falling in love with more than one man at a time. Are all these bachelors marriage material? Rachel will try to find out from the people who know them best, as she homes in on the endgame. She and her suitors will return to Dallas for a “gut-wrenching and heartbreaking” rose ceremony.

“Shadowhunters” (8 p.m., Freeform): With everything that Simon has gone through this past year, a family dinner for Yom Kippur – the Jewish Day of Atonement – poses as a real challenge. How can he come clean about being a vampire and especially about what just happened to his family? And if he is stressed out, what if he can’t control his vampire urges? Looking to take care of this himself, Maia insists on helping him out whether he likes it or not. Meanwhile, Clary and Jace go on an unsanctioned mission and test out their newfound rune powers.

“Loaded” (10 p.m., AMC): This twisted new series, a British import, focuses on four 30-something techies and childhood friends who become multi-millionaires over night when they sell their videogame company. Alas, they soon learn that there are many pitfalls that come with being young and incredibly wealthy. Amid a raging hurricane of money, excess, and “millionaire guilt,” their lifelong relationships are about to be put to the test.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” (11:35 p.m., CBS): It’s “Russia Week” as Colbert hosts a series of shows highlighting his recent “top secret, highly publicized” visit to the country that continues to be in the headlines. Throughout “Russia Week,” “The Late Show” will air pieces shot while Colbert was in St. Petersburg and Moscow, featuring his interactions with the Russian people, his interview and vodka shots on the Russian late night television talk show “Evening Urgant,” and lessons he learned on how to live the oligarch lifestyle from Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov.
