Natalee Holloway’s Father Reveals Shocking New Lead 12 Years After Disappearance

12 years after 18-year-old Natalee Holloway went missing during a senior class trip to Aruba, her desperate father may have finally found a lead on her mysterious disappearance, has learned.

After multiple arrests and searches, Holloway’s body was never found, yet an upcoming crime show promises to give the public, and the late teen’s father, some answers.

“Twelve years and we still have nothing — until now,” said Dave Holloway in The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway‘s latest promo clip.

After the teen’s vanishing in 2005, authorities along with the Holloway family suspected that known criminal Joran van der Sloot may have been responsible for her disappearance and likely death.

He has never faced trial for her case, yet is currently in a Peruvian jail, serving time for an unrelated murder.

“I have my answer as to what happened to Natalee, and he’s sitting in a prison in Peru,” Natalee’s mom Beth Holloway once said in an interview.

The shameless criminal said he would tell all of his involvement in the Natalee Holloway case in his upcoming book.

“He could sit down there and rot in the prison system he’s in now,” Dave Holloway exclusively told Radar.

In the new crime series, Dave will investigate a lead he discovered in 2015, pertaining to his daughter’s mysterious disappearance.

“This series gives viewers rare access to Dave Holloway‘s gut-wrenching search for answers. He embarks on an immersive journey full of twists, turns and, most considerably, a new lead that could deliver justice for Natalie once and for all,” said Oxygen executive Rod Aissa to PEOPLE.

According to Dave, a man claimed to be roommates with a co-conspirator who allegedly helped van der Sloot get rid of Natalee’s body.

He says in the video clip: “This lead, we have a person who states that he was directly involved in disposing of Natalee’s remains.”

After having spent more than a decade looking for answers, “This could be it,” says Dave in the upcoming 6-episode series.

The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway premieres Saturday, Aug. 19 at 9 p.m. ET, on Oxygen.
