After what seemed like an eternity in the music business, singer Kesha is back with new material.
Her new song “Praying” was just released and many on social media are calling the recording her long-awaited comeback after legal issues and headlines with her music producer Dr. Luke. Billboard calls the song “emotionally charged” and “defiant.”
So then it only makes sense for the singer to film her music video at the iconic Southern California destination Salvation Mountain. Built in the ’80s by Leonard Knight, the multi-colored and almost psychedelic landmark was meant to serve as a beacon of hope for people to repent, be saved and feel God’s love.
The lyrics to “Praying” seem to reflect the purpose of Salvation Mountain in a way. She sings about being put through hell, fighting for herself and knowing the best is yet to come.
